What about privacy? I get this question a lot and yesterday someone even sent me a question via Snapchat about this matter. This is such a personal statement to make, nonetheless, I completely respect one opinion about this subject about themselves.
I never have big issues sharing my world, as I feel that I have nothing to hide nor to be too secrecy about. So choosing to blog from my perspective about fashion and lifestyle, it’s impossible to not share my world.
Once you make this step, you also have to deal with the consequences. I try not to think of the negative side of this decision because god knows how some people might misuse the content. I hope I am not too naïve, but as long as it doesn’t affect me or my dear ones directly, I don’t want to put energy into this.
Bad people and haters are out there. The reality is that you can’t satisfy everyone or protect yourself from everything (with a blog). And does it really matter at the end, when you think about your happiness?
I am the first one to admit that this is easier said than done. I am someone who always tries to satisfy everybody, saying ‘no’ to someone for example is not my strongest suit. However, over the years you will get better with this to set your boundaries, when you realize that you are not a Nutella jar, you cannot make everybody happy! Prioritize the things in life and if people truly love you, they will understand. It’s okay not to be perfect all the time…
Heavy talk on a Monday huh? I see two subjects got mixed above, but you get the picture… Ghehe.. To make the link to today’s shoot. It feels vulnerable to share these kinds of photos on the world wide web. For one thing, because I think I will never be fully satisfied with my body, yet I am okay with this though. We are girls after all with our insecurities. Secondly, for the obvious concerns, I mentioned above.
Yet, here it is because I really want to share what this shoot stands for: an extremely happy day in breathtaking Indonesia! Looking back at this makes me smile at the memories it brings to me here at Pink beach (more about this beach in the Wonderful Indonesia series soon). Besides, this kimono is totally perfect for a shoot!
