Goes is Goes
I was invited by Goes to visit the city in Zeeland, located in the South-West corner of The Netherlands. I am aware that I don’t have to travel far to find amazing places. Staycation in my own country is surely something I like to do. It’s perfect for a little getaway within a few hours’ drive.
It was my first time visiting this city. I couldn’t find much about this place on Pinterest, Google or Instagram, so I had zero expectations.
I was pleasantly surprised as I learned more about this city during our little tour. For instance, there are many young entrepreneurs in this town, who are responsible for the trendy spots. Also, you find places with lots of character like a rebuilt castle and a picturesque little harbor. Fashion-wise you find lots of boutiques selling various labels that I love, like Nümph, Baum und Pfertgarten, but also amazing vintage treasures. All this in a 30-minute drive from the beach!
Visiting Goes? Here are a few suggestions to go to for shopping, food and to stay!
Shopping
Like I said, plenty of lovely shops to score fashion, beauty & lifestyle items. From the latest collections to vintage huntings. Here are my faves.
Dzjeenie
Our first stop was at the second-hand store Dzjeenie. Take your time here to find treasure! When I was here I saw brands like Jimmy Choo x H&M, Marni, Dries van Noten and much more.
I even borrowed the oversized trench coat and vintage bag to shoot a look at the harbour 🙂

I really liked the idea that Janet (the owner) can make anything on request, like camera bags, belts, etc.

Food
Wish I had more time to try out some more places in Goes. The ones I tried were all recommendable though!
In de Bakkerij
A lovely bakery to have breakfast or lunch. Order the local ‘Zeeuwse Bolus’ with a coffee.

De Kluizenaer
Looking for an affordable culinary lunch or dinner? Try De Kluizenaer. They use lots of local ingredients to create beautiful dishes.
The restaurant is really cool decorated. In the toilet, for example, you find a floor made out of Dutch coins.
