Scala Dei Turchi (“Stairs of the Turks”) is the most beautiful cliff I have ever witnessed in my life! The unusual white color cliff in the form of a staircase is to be a true miracle of nature. It was on top of my Sicily bucket list and it was worth the trip of a thousand miles. Even here we were the only ones admiring this wonder at some point, due to off-season. Being there is so serene, hearing the waves breaking on this cliff on such a breathtaking sight.
You can’t just park your car at this cliff, we had to walk 15 to 20 minutes to reach this place from the parking lot. It is a nice walk anyway alongside the beach. With every step, my anticipation ran wild, and luckily the destination did not disappoint me at all.
All I could say was ‘wooowww’.. Speechless and I still am. We went to Sicily because my boyfriend has his work trip here and we decided to go a few days earlier to explore this island together first. You know I never would have picked Sicily myself, purely because I never knew it is so gorgeous out here. So here I tell you, I would recommend this place to anyone if you ever have the chance to go!! You will see more in the upcoming diaries why I fell in love with this place, but these photos will show you a great deal already 😉
