ONE DAY IN BASEL SWITZERLAND

Switzerland seems like forever ago already. We had an extra day weekend, which almost always means road trip weekend! We were driving to Switzerland this time. Lucerne was the goal, but we passed by Basel to stay for one night.

We arrived in the late afternoon, so we didn’t have much time to explore this picturesque city. We took the bike from the hotel and start cycling to the city center.
What I thought of Basel? Great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. I really liked the ambiance of a summer night here, because everyone was outside around the river.
I couldn’t get over the prices, but Switzerland is well-known not to be cheap. Our schnitzel and steak with one wine for example cost us a little bit over €100. But the views in this country are really really worth it!
