Working on my blog portfolio with every shoot and with every collaboration that I do. It never gets boring, when you can get to be creative, producing the best content you possibly can. There are no limits with blogging, so it is fun to play around, trying something new every now and then, like this hotel review/editorial article.
This shoot was not planned at all and it was seriously done in 5 minutes before we went out to the beach… Nevertheless, I had so much fun doing this shoot. I was sooo excited about this hotel (room) that I wanted to show you this amazing home away from home on the most beautiful island that I have ever been to, Tokashiki.
We wanted our last night in Japan to be phenomenal, therefore we had booked this hotel on this, practically deserted island. It was off-season and there were only 2 hotels available on this island.
After reading all the reviews online, we built up high expectations for the Kerama Terrace hotel. Kerama Terrace is an adults-only hotel with only 8 rooms available. The stay included two meals (dinner and breakfast) with exquisite local fresh food.
Although the loft is not the fanciest hotel room ever (it is the most luxurious room on this island though), it was definitely unique and very clean. It was the whole experience of this hotel that made it so special. From the minute they picked us up at the ferry it was hospitality to the fullest.
Lastly, it is totally recommended to go to the roof terrace at night for stargazing. I have never seen soooo many stars above me in my life. It was the most romantic thing ever. We were laying there for a while with our music on, while suddenly we saw a few shooting stars. It was the perfect closure of an epic journey.
