Although you wouldn’t say with the coldest day of April measured yesterday, but spring is here! Nigel and I have been traveling separately a lot this month, I just said goodbye to him again for a week. When we had a half-day together between Serbia and Sevilla, we just wanted to spend some quality time on that sunny Sunday. We love road tripping together, so we drove towards Leiden because I heard that the bulb region is super beautiful around this time.
It’s less than 30 min drive from Amsterdam and I can’t believe we have never done this before. Lots of people buy their tickets to go to Keukenhof. But you can actually drive around that area to enjoy the gorgeous colorful fields for free! There is a route to explore the bulb region. Maybe next time by bike? I will make this an annual trip, I mean how breathtaking is this flower paradise?! For sure, it’s worth all the hay fever sneezing 😀
