The Museum Edit
Funny that everything I didnโt like to do when I was young, I love to do it voluntarily in my free time nowadays, for example: reading books, taking long hikes and going to museums.
About the last one, Iโm still a newbie when it comes down to the art and my interest at the moment goes to modern art. And to be more specific, I get a huge kick out of an art experience like installations. But also the architecture of spaces or how a curated collection is displayed. Basically, anything that is ecstatically pleasing for the eyes and other senses ๐
Iโm looking for experiences that get me in awe and mesmerize me for numerous reasons. So when I see an opportunity, I make time to visit these museums or places.ย ย
That said, I collected museums in this article that made a big impression on me, from all over the world. How many of these have you visited or would you like to visit in the future?
1. TEAMLAB Borderless ๐ฏ๐ต
Teamlab Borderless is the most recent museum I have visited that blew my mind. I was truly immersed in the world of digital interactive artworks. There was always something that caught my eye while I was wandering the different rooms. A true glance at the future of art museums that is fun for kids and adults.ย

The Hakone Open-Air Museum is known to be the first outdoor, open-air museum of art in Japan. It’s famous for exhibiting various contemporary sculptures outdoors, surrounded by the beautiful mountain scenery of Hakone. We went to see the Picasso Exhibition Hall that showcases the work of Picasso in two stories of paintings, sculptures, and ceramic work. The Symphonic Sculpture was my favorite as I climbed up the tower to get the best view of the (art) area.ย

4. Museum Voorlinden ๐ณ๐ฑ
Museum Voorlinden is a must-visit in The Hague, in The Netherlands! The Instagram-worthy picture has to be taken in the famous swimming pool by Leandro Erlich. Personally, I really enjoyed the architectural work from Do Ho Suh, which is, unfortunately, a temporary exhibition. Do Ho Suh’s focus was to highlight the way humans relate to spaces and what makes us feel like โhomeโ. The installations had beautiful fluorescent colors which he created by hand.ย

The Wallace Museum is located in Manchester Square in London and is over 100 years old. Within the museum, you find 30 galleries where they present various collectibles, furniture, and paintings from the 15th to the 19th centuries. These have been collected for five generations long by the British aristocratic family the Wallaceโs. 8. Victoria & Albert Museum ๐ฌ๐ง
In this museum, I went to see the temporary exhibition of Christian Dior and โHouse of Diorโ which displayed the most iconic and stunning dresses that they have created. Getting to know the history of Diorโs golden age was really fascinating as it is one of my favorite fashion houses. Inside I felt like a little girl in a candy store eyeing those dresses that I have been dreaming of.

9. Musรฉe des Beaux-Arts de Nancy ๐ซ๐ท
The Museum of Fine Arts of Nancy is known to be one of the oldest art galleries in France and its location is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here we visited the Infinity Mirror Room: Gleaming Lights of the Soul from Yayoi Kusama. This installation is incredibly famous worldwide. Normally you only have one minute of time in Kusama’s infinity rooms, but here in Nancy, there was no line, nor a time limit to stay in the artwork. We had plenty of time to make a romantic selfie and other content ๐ย
