I stayed at Nusa Lembongan for only 1 night to review ‘Villa 353 degrees north’, yet this small island (30 min from Bali), has made quite the impression on me. The Villa had a whole lot to do with this for sure, but the island has a lot to offer as well.
In today’s travel diary, I show you how I spent my 24 hours on Nusa Lembongan.
Rocky fast cruise
This is the fastest way to get to Nusa Lembongan from Bali, departing from Sanur. This boat departs three times a day. We didn’t want to waste precious time, so we took this 30 min boat ride to Nusa.
It must be my scariest boat ride ever and I got very nauseous too. A tip, don’t sit in the front where you feel the bounces (yep, it’s like you are flying in the air sometimes and then hit a rock) even more powerful.
Oh and you depart from the beach, so don’t expect a harbor, you have to leave your shoes in their box and walk bare feet in the sea to the boat. I personally liked this part though 🙂
Villa 535 degrees North
This villa was the very reason why we were on this island. The minute I walked onto this property I forgot that I was nauseous and went straight to awe of everything I saw. You already have seen many photos of how stunning this villa is in the review (here), but here are some more snaps from my iPhone.

Breakfast
We took the scooter to explore this island in a few hours. I found B’ Fresh through Tripadvisor, but it was hard to actually find it. We asked a few locals on the way and eventually, it was right at the beach where we got off the boat. The owner of this place is super nice and she speaks English fluently. She prepped our meals to start the day. A really nice stop if you like pancakes, fresh smoothies, and a good cup of coffee!
Dream beach
I can understand why they call it ‘Dream beach’, this beach is really picture perfect. The waves are way too strong for swimming though. If you want, you can also swim in the pool of the hotel behind, facing this priceless view. The swing on the hill is a very nice touch too.
Mushroom beach
This beach is on the north side of the island and contrary to Dream beach, you can swim in this calm water. We didn’t have time to do so. Instead, we ordered drinks to enjoy this view.
Panorama point
One extra day would be nice to see the other side of the island, like their mangrove and the suspension bridge and drinking a coffee at Two Towers Coffee Shop. Who knows we will come back some day. I sure hope so, this island is breathtakingly beautiful!
